BUT... not everyone has your facebook or IM name... perhaps you wanna throw a question up to the public and then get replies? or maybe you can see something interesting on twitter... i.e. maybe you can't be Mark Shuttleworth's FB friend but you can follow him on twitter (I don't know if he has one or not) to see what HE's up to. Jus sayin' its not like there aren't ways to sync this in place already :D

Fair enough. I started using Twitter because it was an easy way to update my Facebook status, but it became more than that. It's an experience of its own (and I'd say the central one, let Facebook and IM update themselves from Twitter).

Also, real response coming from me on this; I'd been meaning to blog about a similar article I'd read.

show me where i said i hate microblogging.... i'm basically saying microblogging shouldnt be a substitute for actual blogging. some people take blog post ideas and turn them into twitters. lame. use twitter and other microblogging services (like tumblr or social networking status updates) the way they were intended - as microblogs.

i hate twitter. i do not hate microblogging. i think twitter is redundant. check my facebook status or my IM status for updates on what i'm up to.

Commenting on blogs is sucking whatever ideas I have for blog posts right out of my head and turning them into one-sentence blips in the blog ether.

I used that HijackThis link with a customer here at work. Grabbed a log file, broke for research, and went to town. She had a pretty well entrenched trojan, but we got it and she was happy. I found the guide so useful, I started thinking about brown-bagging it almost immediately ;) Perhaps youre right. It should just be rolled into an updated Spyware & Adware brownbag instead...

Wow, I really like your new format. While micro blogging fits my lifestyle pretty well, there's a lot to be said about this. Also, I just caught the Hijack This link, I've needed that for a long time (time for someone to update the Spyware & Adware brownbag?)
